Pastor Paul Enenche declines ₦30M from Kebbi Governor, urges donation to orphanages instead.
During a recent evangelical crusade in Kebbi State, Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, made headlines after declining a ₦30 million cash donation from Governor Nasir Idris.
The donation, which was announced publicly during the event by the state’s Commissioner for Social Duties, Zayyanu Umar Aliero, was meant as a gesture of appreciation for Pastor Enenche’s visit and spiritual impact in the region.
However, the respected clergyman, visibly moved, politely refused the money on stage, urging that the funds be redirected to more pressing needs.
“We sincerely appreciate the gesture and the governor’s generous heart,” Pastor Enenche said.
“But we will not take this money. Please channel it instead to orphanages or any other charitable institution of your choice.”
The governor’s representative accepted the decision graciously, thanking Pastor Enenche for his humility and unwavering dedication to gospel work.
The act has since gone viral on social media, drawing praise from Nigerians who applauded the pastor’s integrity and firm stance against receiving government funds during a religious outreach.
