Title: Freedom that Starts Inside
Scripture:
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
— John 8:36 (NIV)

Devotional Thought:

As the world celebrates freedom today, remember that the greatest freedom isn’t political—it’s spiritual. True freedom doesn’t come from governments, papers, or passports. It comes from Jesus. And it starts inside.

Many are walking free physically, yet still imprisoned by shame, fear, guilt, and regret. But when Jesus sets you free, it’s total. He frees your mind from anxiety, your heart from bitterness, your spirit from sin. He lifts the weight you didn’t know you were carrying and breaks chains you thought were permanent.

Don’t just celebrate liberty—live in it. Grace is the power to walk away from what once held you down. You are no longer a slave to sin, your past, or people’s opinions. You are free. And that freedom is worth living for.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NKJV)

Confession:

I am free in Jesus. I walk in grace, not guilt. My chains are gone.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for setting me free. Help me to walk in that freedom daily—free from fear, sin, and shame. I receive the liberty of Your Spirit and declare that I will no longer live beneath what You died to give me. Amen.

Daily Challenge:

Break one cycle today—replace a habit of bondage with a step toward freedom.
