Title: Kindness in the Face of Offense
Scripture:
“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”
— Matthew 5:44 (NIV)
Devotional Thought:
Kindness shines brightest when it’s hardest to give. It’s easy to be kind to those who love and
respect you, but Christ calls us to a higher way—showing kindness to those who hurt, offend, or
mistreat us.
This isn’t about ignoring wrongs, but about rising above them. When you respond to offense
with grace, you disarm the enemy and reflect the power of Christ in you. Forgiveness is
kindness in action—and it breaks the cycle of bitterness.
Confession:
I choose grace over offense. My kindness flows even in the face of hurt, because Christ lives in me.
Prayer:
Lord, help me love like You—especially when it’s hard. Heal my heart from offense and let my
kindness reflect Your strength and mercy. Amen.
Daily Challenge:
Forgive someone you’ve held in your heart. Pray for them and, if possible, reach out with a kind
gesture.
