Title: Love Starts Here
Scripture:
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
— John 13:34 (NIV)
Devotional Thought:
Love isn’t just a feeling—it’s a choice. Jesus didn’t ask us to love when it’s easy or convenient. He commanded us to love the way He loved: unconditionally, sacrificially, and without limits. This kind of love begins with the people around you—your family, coworkers, neighbors, and even those who frustrate you.
You may never get the chance to preach to nations, but you can show Christ to someone in your home or community just by choosing love. Love is patient in traffic, kind at the store, forgiving at work, and generous with strangers. When you love like Jesus, people see Him through you.
Confession:
I choose to love those around me the way Christ loves me—freely, fully, and faithfully.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to love like You. Help me see people through Your eyes. Heal every hurt that keeps me from loving deeply. Let my life reflect Your grace and kindness. Amen.
Daily Challenge:
Do one intentional act of love today—send a kind message, help someone, forgive quickly, or give without being asked.
