Theme: Love That Releases, Not Controls
Scripture:
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
— 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NIV)
Devotional Thought:
One mark of godly love is that it sets people free. Grace doesn’t manipulate—it liberates. When
you walk in love, you don’t tie people to your expectations. You release them into God’s will,
trusting His plan more than your preference.
This is hard love. It means letting go, praying through, and sometimes stepping back. But it’s the
kind of love that makes heaven rejoice—because it reflects how Jesus deals with us.
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be
burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” — Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
Confession:
I walk in freedom and give freedom. My love does not control—it covers and releases.
Prayer:
Lord, help me release people into Your hands. Teach me to love with open hands and a trusting
heart. Amen.
Daily Challenge:
Check your motives today: Is your love freeing someone or binding them? Adjust with grace.
