Title: When God Is Silent!
Scripture:
“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.”
— Lamentations 3:25 (ESV)
Devotional Thought:
There are seasons when heaven feels quiet. You pray, but it’s like the words echo. You read the Word, but it feels dry. You’re serving, showing up, giving your best—and still, it feels like God is on mute. As a Pastor, I have experienced this season a few times.
If you’ve been there—or you’re there now—don’t panic. Silence is not absence. God’s quietness is often a sign of trust. He’s letting you grow roots in the stillness. Sometimes the Teacher is silent during the test, but He’s still in the room.
The waiting season is not punishment; it’s preparation. God may be answering your prayers in ways you cannot yet see. When it seems He’s doing nothing, He’s often doing deep things. Grace reminds us that the silence doesn’t mean disapproval—it means trust.
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…” — Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
Confession:
Even when God is silent, I will still trust Him. His presence is with me, even in the quiet.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to trust Your silence. Help me rest in the unseen work You’re doing. Give me grace to wait well, pray deep, and grow stronger even when answers delay. Amen.
