TODAY’S ISRAEL IS NOT BIBLE ISRAEL

I will boldly state this truth over and over again that the modern nation state of Israel is not ancient Israel, the heir of God’s promises.
This may sound alarming to many Christians who may already be on the edge emotionally if they dont actually take the time to consider all the neccesary markers.
In 1948, the modern Israel was founded to be a home for the Jewish people, a safe haven from antisemitic oppression—quite an amazing story, to be sure, after Hitler’s attempted genocide of the Jews.
But the modern nation state of Israel is not the heir of God’s promises to ancient Israel—and here are a couple of reasons why.

israel people

Ancient Israel was a theocratic monarchy in covenant with God,* a covenant centered on the Torah, the Law of Moses.
Modern Israel, while making special provision for Jewish citizenship and drawing on Jewish ideals and values, claims (or at least aims) to be a secular liberal democracy. It makes no official claim to be in a divine covenant and does not have the Torah as the basis of its laws.
Just as many people equate “Palestinian” with “Muslim,” so many people equate “Israeli” with “Jewish.” Both equations are false. As for the “Palestinian = Muslim” equation, there is in fact a small but significant Palestinian Christian community.

Now as for the “Israeli = Jewish” equation, the ethnic and religious demographics of Israel are much more complex than this. Around 20% of Israelis are Arab, most of those practicing Muslims, and over 40% of Jewish Israelis identify themselves as “secular Jews”—Jews by ethnicity only, not by religion.
Ancient Israel, was a theocratic, tribalistic society that became a monarchy, that God brought into covenant with himself through Moses.

When judgement fell on Jerusalem in AD 70, it marked the definite end of national Israel as the people of God. One significant thing that occuured in that Roman/Jewish conflict was the burning of the genealogical records that was used to establish lineage and tribe. Since that first century, it has beome to confirm
Many Christians do not know that the vast majority of so-called Jews in the world today are the Ashkenazim Jews, while the remainder of them are the Sephardim Jews.

The Ashkenazim Jews have as their background not the nation of Israel but a country called Khazaria, which country at one time was the largest country in Europe. The settlers of Khazaria were Turks and Huns. In A.D. 740 King Bulan of Khazaria decided to adopt the Judaistic religion for his country. A number of Jews were already living there. So he converted to Judaism, along with all his officials, and whole nation ended up being known as a nation of Jews.
In 970 Russia came in and dominated the situation, and the Khazars were scattered, many of them going down into Poland and Lithuania. Where at the dawn of our modern civilization the largest concentration of Jews were found. Today, the largest percentage of so-called Jews in the world have as their background this group of people.”
God’s chosen people is not a people of the flesh but those who are found in Christ Jesus, the Chosen. in the word of Apostle Peter:

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. (1 Peter 2:9.10)
