Nigerian musician Portable has provoked fury on social media. The artist Portable was seen in a widely shared video slapping a pastor who was preaching in front of his bar. Both fans and critics have strongly objected to this action.
CfaithToday gathered that this incident happened when the pastor started preaching directly in front of Portable’s business. The artist was reportedly annoyed by this since he thought the religious activities were out of place in the environment. The minister was calling on people to turn to God while he was preaching when Portable came out and furiously confronted him.
After that, there was a violent confrontation in which Portable hit the preacher and demanded that he stop preaching and leave the area. As soon as the incident’s footage went viral, it attracted harsh criticism from several sources.

Social media users have swiftly reacted, denouncing Portable’s behaviour. Critics contend that the pastor had the right to preach, particularly in public settings, and that the musician’s actions were inappropriate regardless of the situation.

Portable used his social media accounts to justify his conduct in the face of mounting criticism, claiming that the pastor was “disturbing his business” and that such sermons shouldn’t be held close to his pub. The artist claimed that after giving the pastor several warnings to relocate, he became irate and took action.
His justification hasn’t quieted the debate, though, since many contend that using violence was never the right course of action under any circumstance.

Before this one, there were previous instances of Portable’s contentious actions making headlines. The artist, who is well-known for having a wild personality and acting erratically, has been a part of multiple public scandals over the years.
It’s high time the attack on Christians stopped. If this is allowed to continue, very soon, believers may not be free to talk about their faith in Christ Jesus. This is not a call for violence but for legal redress.
